I am all about the 36mm size watches. For me the maximum would be 37mm. The big watches make me feel too self-conscious. I have a 34mm Patek Philippe that I wear very often. That one is my favorite. The Rolex Explorer in 36mm is a GREAT watch!
I think a range of 36-40mm is really a perfect case size.
IMHO there are some 40mm watches that fit better than a 36. It’s really model dependent.
