Happy Friday!

Waited 2.5 months and finally arrived today.  Fell in love with this piece since announced in June.  Everything about it (movement, case, dial, overall aesthetics) is amazing!

This is my first A Lange & Sohne and couldn’t be happier smile

Seems to be a great version, all in black. Looking forward to see this one in metal soon.

Stunning dial

Thanks mate. Also love how the tone of the dial changes with different light conditions.

Best chrono in the market

bar none in my opinion. I tried it on at the Paris boutique on Tuesday and will only say that the watch looks a lot better in the flesh. Rarely does a chrono look as good on the dial side as it does on the reverse. Well done on this splendid purchase!!

Thanks mate!

You are right! Thought I would spend more time looking at the caseback than the dial until I got it. The dial at different angles is truly amazing!

One question

Do you find the watch heavy? I once owned a 1815 pink gold chrono and sold it within a month as it was too heavy for daily wear.

Not heavy and is extremely comfortable

Weighs about 100g and is the lightest in my collection (15400st, 5726/1A, 26400IO + few others)

Congratulations. I find the 1815 chrono

lives under the shadow of the Dato, but IMHO for no good reason. Yes the original Dato is the icon and the design with the big date is close to perfection, but the 1815 shares the magnificent Lange L951 chrono movement and the 1815 case sits so perfectly ...

Thanks & congrats in advance :)

Agree with you that 1815 chrono lives under the shadow of dato. Also, IMO the dato is a bit over rated and I’m not a big fan of the big date. I love the simplicity of the black dial, is the purest chronograph with the best movement and perfect case size. ...

Congratulations on the acquisition of such a stunning piece!

The 1815 Chrono is probably the best value manual-winded chronograph from a manufacture as prestigious as Lange. And yes, this is one chronograph that looks gorgeous from both the front and the back!
