Personally, I found this version much more elegant than the guilloche+blued-hands version.

Correct it is designed for 40 mm
Later it was made with a 38 mm case. Dial and movement are exactly the same size. Just a narrower case.

This is my favourite CS, followed closely by the polar opposite rose gold MOP CS. Your watch however is most versatile, a great quality to have. A few straps of different colours and textures will really give you something for every day and any ocaision.
