+1, wood marquetry is perhaps the rarest and most challenging to fully master of the four "main" Patek Rare Handcrafts (the other being enamel, engraving, and miniature painting), so much that only one man (J.B) is in charge of these dials! :-)

It’s not as vivid or bright in colour comparing to enamel. But the nature of wood and the rich texture have embodied the power of life of mother nature!

My pleasure, indeed the colors are usually much less vivid compared to enamel (and generally, even less vs. miniature painting on enamel), and as a consequence the result can be more discreet/subtle👍
