I've been chasing this piece for some time now and finally struck. Just thrilled with this acquisition.. and the 5011K movement, just wonderful to listen to the cadence. You can hear it in the next room! ...

The balance wheel is simply huge and ticks like an old V8 engine ;)

It’s as loud as a vintage pocket watch or louder. If it’s quiet around you can definitely hear it ticking 20 feet away which is really charming for such a piece imho

Congrats !

You got it from the watch shop LLC? It’s a good catch and well priced however missing papers . I’d recommend that you apply for extract archive papers from the manufacturer and it will complete your watch. Once again congrats

What is LLC?

You can find them for $12-22k depending on the condition and accessories of course. Good thing I have 2. One lightly worn and the other NOS

Huge congrats on this spectacular timepiece 👌🏼

The historical movement is a marvel and yes it’s pretty loud Usually I can hear it ticking from the other side of the room as you mentioned. I believe I saw it for sale about 2 weeks ago. Was trying to source it for a friend of mine who’s been on the hunt...

An iconic watch!

Present to myself for the Lunar New Year. Currently en route to me from across the pond. Can you tell me what the lug width is? Thinking about alternative strap options...

I have the watch now back from Switzerland. Zenith did an excellent job tidying up (did not need much) the piece with a full service as well. Now complete with archival papers and certificate of origin, very professional. So glad that I have this piece in...
